Terms of use

Meditar is a service operated by Juan Manuel Baracat (JMB Studio), based in Barcelona, Spain. For any question about these terms, write to us at contacto@meditar.app.

Meditar offers guided meditations produced with synthetic voices (TTS), with a limited free catalog and additional content under subscription. We reserve the right to add, change, or withdraw meditations, voices, and features at any time, without affecting the access you already paid for during your current subscription period.

You need an account (email + one-time code) to use the app. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and for all activity under your account. Meditar is not directed at children under 14; if we believe an account belongs to someone younger, we may suspend it.

The free plan includes a limited number of plays per account, shown in the app. Past that limit, additional content requires a paid subscription (monthly or yearly). Current prices, currency, and trial length are shown in the app or at meditar.app/en/pricing before you confirm the purchase — those are the prices that govern your purchase, not an amount mentioned anywhere else.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the same price, unless you cancel before the current period ends. If you subscribed through the app, you manage and cancel it in your account settings in the corresponding store (App Store or Google Play) — Meditar cannot cancel a store subscription for you. If you subscribed at meditar.app, you can cancel from your account or by writing to us.

The free trial, where available, requires a payment method up front and converts automatically into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel first. Each store (App Store, Google Play) allows one trial per account and subscription group — you can't get another trial by switching plans within the same group.

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are governed by Apple's and Google's refund policies respectively — Meditar neither processes nor can authorize those refunds directly. Purchases made at meditar.app (Stripe) are handled by us: write to contacto@meditar.app.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, consumer protection law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal over digital content. By starting the free trial or the paid content before those 14 days are up, you expressly accept immediate performance of the service and, to the extent the law allows, the loss of that right of withdrawal over the content already enjoyed.

We may adjust subscription prices. If you have an active or trialing subscription when a change happens, you won't pay more than the price in force when you subscribed, unless you expressly accept the new price. We'll give you reasonable notice of any increase before it applies to your renewal.

Meditar's content (meditations, scripts, voices, music, brand) belongs to Meditar/JMB Studio or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to listen to that content inside the app, for non-commercial use. You may not download, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the content, or attempt to reverse-engineer the app.

Meditar is a wellbeing and relaxation tool. It is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical or psychological advice. If you are going through a mental health crisis or an emergency, contact a health professional or your country's emergency services. You use the app at your own discretion and responsibility.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. To the extent the law allows, Meditar will not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law grants you on a mandatory basis and that cannot be excluded by contract.

We may suspend or cancel your account if you breach these terms (for example, unauthorized commercial use of the content, or abuse of the service). You can stop using Meditar and cancel your subscription at any time, as described above.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. We'll publish the version in force on this page with its update date; if the change is substantial, we'll try to give you reasonable notice.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Any dispute not resolved amicably will be submitted to the courts of Barcelona, Spain, unless applicable consumer law establishes a different venue.
